IN DEEP: The Skiing Experience

For 2009, MSP Films takes an original look at the sport of skiing. All of the skiers in the film—park rat or big mountain charger—share a common bond: the overwhelming desires to ski. Each person finds stoke in his own unique way, whether it be a double cork 1260, a deep turn on a storm day or ripping a giant AK line. Skiing is an incredibly diverse sport that offers it all. The Community Project

Indie film studio Silver Platter serves up yet another exhilarating ride through exotic and extreme snowboarding terrain with this documentary that's part travelogue and part sports spectacle. Watch Andy Finch, Travis Rice, Colin Langlois, Kyle Clancy and Shaun White take on the wildest of slopes in such places as New Zealand, Norway, British Columbia and Japan, all for the love of snowboarding.

Set Your Sights

Toy Soldier Productions spent the 2010/2011 winter exploring the Northwestern United States with some of the best up-and-coming talent in the ski & snowboard world. Each found themselves growing into their style, their terrain, and a mindset laid down with the snowfall. Though differing in their aims, they’ve found themselves on a similar path, brought together by the winter and her storms. “Set Your Sights” chronicles this journey. While mostly shot in Montana, the crew also filmed in Utah, California, Washington, South Dakota, Alaska, Wyoming and Whistler, B.C. To top it all off, he most recently lost a kidney and severely injured his spleen while filming for MTV's Viva La Bam.
